The 2018 MLB Trade Deadline Heats Up

Bryce HarperWith the 2018 MLB trade deadline approaching PPH101 oddsmakers and all baseball fans are eagerly awaiting today’s final moves from both of this year’s buyers and sellers. MLB teams have up until today July 31st, before 4:30 pm to either strengthen their current rosters towards a 2018 MLB Playoff run or unload players to build on their hopes for the future.

This year’s trade deadline is indeed living up to all the hype with some baseballs biggest names expected to be dealt right at the right at the wire!

Just days before the deadline the Washington Nationals announced that they are entertaining offers for superstar Bryce Harper and this news has put baseballs suitors in a down to the wire frenzy to acquire one of baseball’s brightest stars.

Rumored teams in the race for Harper are the Indians, Dodgers, Yankees, Diamondbacks and the Cubs. Harper will become a free agent next year, and the Nationals are trying to capitalize on the moment and acquire the best assets they can for their future!

A few of the 2018 most significant deadline trades have included;

Manny Machado, Machado was part of a blockbuster deal between the Orioles and Dodgers. The Dodgers 2018 World Series hopes just got much brighter, and they are hoping Machado is the missing piece to the puzzle to compete for baseballs biggest prize!

Ian Kinsler is now a Boston Red Sox and will help them fill the void left by the Pedroia injury.

Cole Hamels signs with the Chicago Cubs to give them another Veteran in the clubhouse as the Cubs are poised for another postseason run!

Asdrubal Cabrera is cashing on a hot 2018 season so far at the tail end of a long career and becomes a Philadelphia Phillie.

Eduardo Escobar was dealt with the Diamondbacks and gives them a hot bat and versatility in depth in the infield.

Lance Lynn, J A Happ. Lynn & Happ were both acquired by the Yankees in a trades to sure up their pitching staff but we they be enough, critics think not!
