One of this year’s best feel-good stories has to be the emergence of Shaguem Griffin and his being the 1st one-handed player ever to be drafted into the National Football League by the Seattle Seahawks.
What makes this story so incredible is not only Shaguems never say die attitude towards life but also the following that has developed from both young and old and all walks of life!
Despite his misfortune early on Shaguem never let his disability stop him from pursuing his dream of one playing in the NFL!
Griffin was born with amniotic band syndrome causing him to lose his left hand at four years old. Shaguem learned early on that he would have work twice as hard as everyone else to achieve his lifelong goals. In the 2018 NFL Draft Shaguem would finally get his chance to prove to all those who doubted, mocked, and ridiculed him along the way that he belonged!
In 2017 Shaguems twin brother Shaaguill was also drafted by the Seattle Seahawks. The brothers played together at UFC and once again will be united as teammates with the Seahawks in 2018.
Shaguem Griffin’s message is that with drive, heart, and perseverance most all obstacles can be overcome!
